Anime vs. Manga. Wolf's Verdict: MANGA.110%. Why?:Because it makes so much more of an emotional impact, that's why. (And it's made of puppies and win.) What drew me in first was the art. What kept me in was the depth of the story and the sheer humanity of the characters. And the wonderful expressions. Hoshino's beatuful art was simply not made to be animated. It loses something in the process. I'm not sure what, but...it lacks something. Nevertheless, the anime is entertaining, to say the least. But if those fillers keep going...It's gonna be the death of me. Opinions?

gargle... *tackles friend* You know what I think! Anyway! I like the Manga better, because it makes more sense to me... although, the Anime has some pretty funny things and some good character building, 'specially with Daisya and General Yeeger. And then there's the randomness like the Tako one that you can't help but laugh. But Manga has better expressions too... and makes more sense. I just heart D.Gray-Man in general!

Woot! The anime is entertaining, but I'll always prefer the manga. There's just something about sitting down and reading rather than watching...

Definitely agreed. Although the anime is finally getting back on track, with only two more episodes to the season to spare!!!! XD That amuses me plenty. =P

Manga, and why? 'Cause it doesn't have fillers and is... black and white? There's just something about reading manga that there isn't about watching anime (and it doesn't apply only to th D.G-m series, but to others too).

Yeah, you have a point. Some of the things look better in black and white, like allen's dream sequence, in book 7. With chibi. Well, I thought it looked better in the manga, besides the part where he's reaching down into the water and the hand comes out. that looked pretty cool. xD

I prefer the manga. It moves faster and some of the stuff looks cooler (lI think crown clown looks way better in the manga) but the anime is fun to watch to. Some of the extra stuff is entertaining too.

The extra shorts at the end are pretty entertaining. xD And I do appreciate the extra info on characters like Daisya and the Generals.

I prefer the manga, but I really do enjoy both. The manga is the original work, and it is definitely amazing. But personally I feel the anime explains things more clearly. (Which is another reason why I like the manga better--I think solving mysteries on my own is lots of fun!)

With manga, one can observe and learn how to draw better...and the story "seems" more original as well.
But I'd have to admit, the anime does have its entertaining moments that the manga doesn't have.
